Palmetto offers two avenues to provide new prospective clients with an initial design on the preliminary proposal.

Design Option

Description

Ideal For

Instant Design

An instant and accurate production + savings assessment generated instantaneously with our proprietary software

  • Getting a fast assessment of a home

  • Quick quoting customers

  • Getting "in the door" w/ savings estimates

  • Faster sales cycles

Manual Design

A traditional panel-layout design, created by our in-house design team

  • Members who are most comfortable selling with a traditional panel-layout design

  • Homeowners who are interested in seeing a specific, curated panel layout on their home prior to signing a contract

Regardless of your organization's preferred tool, members should be aware that all designs are subject to change after site survey verification. Homeowners should likewise be aware that all designs are finalized only after the site survey.

  • Best Practice: When a manual design is needed, please input your request as far in advance as possible.

  • Initial design time: 30-60 Minutes average time required

  • Redesign time: If needed, 30-45 Minutes average time required

Note: Times may vary based on queue volume. To avoid potential delays, input your manual design request in advance.

Best Practice

Details

Minimum Productive Surfaces/TSRF

TSRF 60%. Palmetto can allow panels to be placed beyond this threshold by executive decision of lead designers, however, in general, we will avoid these "dead" surfaces when possible.

Notes for Designers

Members should use full and concise notes. Cardinal directions and/or coordinates are helpful for identifying specific roof surfaces which are being requested in any designer notes.

Installable Surfaces

While each site may be unique, in general, Palmetto will install on surfaces which are supported with full attic trusses/structures. This means that places like porches or carports will be avoided.
