5. Homeowner Expectations with LightReach

Homeowners signing up for a LightReach Energy Plan can expect a straightforward process and consistency in their experience. During the sales process, set the following expectations with your customers to avoid surprises and delays later:

1) Qualifying

  • 650 FICO credit requirement (No DTI)

  • Homeowner must be on title

  • Home is an approved type (in general, single family, fully owned)

2) Palmetto Account

  • A Palmetto Account (via app or web browser) is required on all sales

  • Homeowners complete stip requirements via their Palmetto account (learn more here)

  • ACH payment input recommended at point of sale, required before Notice to Proceed

3) Billing

  • Homeowner's first bill will come approx. 30 days after activation

  • 30 Day billing cycles, with 15 day payment terms

  • Billing details available via homeowner's Palmetto account

  • Rate escalator determined at time of sale is applied every 12 months to the kilowatt hour billing rate

4) Performance Guarantee with Protect

  • Includes 25 year, 90% Production Guarantee* (*unless prohibited by state) as part of our most robust Palmetto Protect package

  • 3 Year True Ups, if necessary - completed via bill credit

  • No penalty for overproduction! Overproduction "banked" against any potential future underproduction
