Submitting Change Requests and Approving Final Proposals With Changes

Change Requests for ALL financiers can be completed in Alchemy!

Start with Step 1 if you are requesting a change on a proposal, but if you need to respond to a change made by Palmetto, skip to Step 7.


1. If you get a final proposal for a customer that you want to request changes for, no problem! To get started, click the three dot action button in the upper right corner of the proposal in Alchemy.

2. Click “Request Change” from the dropdown that appears.

Request change is the button for adding or removing adders (like roof or electrical). If all you want to do is change the system price, you don't need to request a change from Palmetto - you can click "Price Change" instead.

3. When the pop-up box appears, select the change reason that is closest to what you are requesting.

If there isn't an exact match, please select what is closest or "other improvements." You will have a chance to elaborate with notes and and you can upload a file if needed (requesting a specific panel layout, for example).

5. Click "Submit Request and Hold Project" when you are ready to submit your change request for Palmetto to review.

When you submit a request for a change, Palmetto teams hold on fulfillment processes like obtaining permits, etc. while the engineering team has reviewed the request. This way, if the change requires new documents or designs - the customer doesn't have to wait longer for duplicate work.

Click "Submit Request and Hold Project" when you are ready to submit your change request for Palmetto to review.

6. The proposal will say "True Up in Progress" while Palmetto reviews your requested change.


This next step may come after Palmetto responds to a change request from you but it may also come after Palmetto completes Site Approval on a preliminary proposal and identifies a need for a change. This is a "Final Proposal with Changes" in the sales flow.

7. Once the change request is approved by Palmetto’s engineering team, you will see the proposal say “Review Required." Click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner of the proposal to review & respond.

8. To enter the new proposal and review the changes, click "View Pricing." this will take you to the pricing calculator and into the updated version of the proposal for you to review.

If you need to make additional changes, you'll click "Edit Changes" and restart this flow from step 1

9. If you and the customer are happy with the changed final proposal, click “Select and Continue” to order.

10. Alchemy will warn you that new documents will be sent to the customer for signing, click “Continue” to send.

At this time, help your customer complete their closing docs as usual.
