Update! November 7th, 2023: We at Palmetto are pausing all work on app projects with Sunnova at any stage. While we have been working diligently to best service our customers it has become necessary at this time to pause any further efforts.
At this time homeowners should work with Sunnova directly to find new fulfillment partners for the projects.
Please rest assured that this situation does not impact Palmetto’s ability to operate and service our partners and customers going forward. We will continue with business as usual for activities outside of Sunnova financed projects.
In summary:
You will need to work with the homeowner who will work directly with their Sunnova rep to ensure these projects get reassigned to a new installer and restart the fulfillment process.
For any questions related to existing job documentation (e.g. permits, interconnection, etc), homeowners must work with Sunnova on determining the best path forward."
Any new jobs (pre-CRC with NO existing Sunnova proposal) can be quoted with LightReach (Palmetto’s TPO product), or our standard loan/cash options. Sunnova will not be an option.
Outside of these projects, Palmetto continues to operate business as usual. This not a reflection of the health or state of our business.
What's Next:
Sunnova has already begun reaching out to customers directly and communicating that a new installer will be selected to finish the project.
Sunnova will be project managing the projects to completion. Homeowners should contact Sunnova for any updates, however, these projects are now owned by Sunnova.
Moving forward, LightReach will be our sole TPO offering and we are continuing to delight our homeowners and sales partners with a best-in-class financial product.

Palmetto is assessing our relationship with Sunnova and will not be offering Sunnova lease, PPA or loan products at the moment.
Due to the uncertainty with the situation, and in order to ensure full project funding and commission payouts, we are exploring alternative options for customers.

Open sales opportunities, pre-CRC
Projects that were recently sold, in fulfillment, but not yet installed
In terms of TPO offerings, Palmetto will now be investing 100% of its focus on LightReach! LightReach is a third party ownership product with better pricing than Sunnova in aggregate for both the sales channel and the consumer.
