NOC (Notice Of Commencement) & Lakeland Electric Appendix C - Signed and notarized
- The NOC must be signed by the homeowner for all Florida deals in order to submit a permit.
- Lakeland Electric also requires a Hold Harmless Indemnification - Appendix C to be signed by the Utility Bill Account Holder for interconnection.
- The documents are signed during the presence of a notary. The notary then signs it too.
- Palmetto will contact all homeowners through an online notary service, notarize.com, to complete a virtual notary process which is available 24/7.
- Reps should set expectations for all homeowners to expect an email and SMS text message from notarize.com.
- All they need to do is upload a photo ID, like a drivers license or passport, and electronically sign the two documents during a live audio-visual call with the notary.
- Please be aware the notary will ask the customer a few security questions to confirm their identity, such as, pick your previous address from a multiple choice list.
