Get Started

When a preliminary proposal is ordered and closing docs are sent, customers will receive an email directing them to activate their Palmetto account via their web browser.

  • Homeowners will complete the stipulation clearing process via their account (accessible via web browser or via app download).

  • Email Subject Line: "Welcome to Palmetto Solar! Let's activate your solar account." -Or- SMS Link invite.

Pro Tip: Set expectations with the customer so that they have the required documents on hand when they get started so they're able to complete each one easier.

NTP

Payment set up is an NTP requirement. It is the responsibility of the Sales Rep to ensure execution of this with the homeowner. Therefore, it is recommended to complete ACH at point of sale when possible.

ACH Manual Link

  • Homeowners will manually input of bank info to connect their banking information to their Palmetto Account

  • Information input is secure, and voided checks are deleted after validation for security.

ID

Homeowner must complete identify verification

  • NTP (M0) Requirement (Point of sale)

  • Driver's license or other state issued ID card

  • Passport or passport card

  • Resident permit ID or green card

Title

Some Homeowners will be asked to upload a document affirming that they own the home. This will only be asked of about 10% of all sales, most will be automatically verified. They will click on "Title Verification" on their tasklist via their web account. Document must show full name and address. Acceptable documents:

  • Original deed or deed of trust

  • Most recent tax property bill

  • Mortgage statement less than 60 days old

For Properties owned in a Trust/LLC:

  • Applicant must be a trustee/controlling member.

  • Trust documents (or other official documentation) must be submitted confirming trustee/controlling member status

Signing Contract

Homeowners can now sign their LightReach contract in their Palmetto account. Make the process more seamless for your customers by putting all the steps they need to complete in one place.

Click "Sign Contract" in the list of tasks to open the contract in DocuSign.

Close-Out

Don't stop until all stips are cleared!

Like the examples above, each item in the app will clearly explain all requirements to your customer, but it's up to you to make sure they know that they need to complete all the items in the app in order to have the stipulations cleared and for their order to move on.

Don't Forget: If customers miss or delete the email directing them to complete these steps, you can send them an invitation to the App at any time from the right hand side of the customer's contact page in the sales platform.
