This article gives an overview of the Palmetto Pricing Calculator, including a walkthrough of how to set pricing & select purchase methods for a preliminary proposal, with example images included.
FEATURE OVERVIEW:
Available for any contact created after 11/15/2022
Allows sales members to simply enter a base price per watt for the proposal and the total customer price automatically calculates to include any associated dealer fees, adders, etc. for the selected purchase method
Sales members can add two purchase methods in addition to a cash option, and toggle between options to automatically see final price calculations
Projects sold above $5 per watt are at-risk for a compliance audit
Step 1: Navigate to Proposal Pricing
Navigate to the pricing calculator by clicking on the date & time, or you can select 'View Pricing' from the three dots.
Step 2: Set a Base Price Per Watt
Proceed to set a Base Price Per Watt for the system. Note that a $4.90 Maximum base price per watt applies across all regions.
Once the Base Price Per Watt is set, the total Customer Price Per Watt will automatically calculate and update in the summaries to the right, including any associated dealer fees, adders, protect plan etc.
Please speak with your sales leader if you need additional guidance determining a base price per watt that works for your geographical location & commission goals.
Step 3: Add Purchase Methods
A cash option will automatically be listed for every proposal, to select other Purchase Methods click 'Edit'.
The dealer fees will be listed for every purchase option and automatically calculated into the total price.
Sales members can select two additional purchase methods, then click 'Done' to add them to the proposal.
Step 4: Review Customer Pricing
Once you've added purchase methods, you can toggle between those options
When a different purchase method is selected, the Customer Pricing Summary to the right automatically calculates from the base PPW originally set - including any associated dealer fee, protect plan, re-roof, etc.
Keep an eye on the Price Per Watt in the Customer Pricing Summary to make sure you are in compliance with financier price caps (below $5/watt)
Step 5: Save & Review Proposal
When you've decided on the pricing & purchase methods you'd like to present in the proposal, click 'Save & Review Proposal'.
Please note, proposal pricing is NOT meant to be homeowner facing, you can present cost & savings within the proposal
