Introducing Palmetto Grid+

Learn more about the Palmetto Energy plan, exclusively in Texas!

When you choose to go solar with Palmetto, enrolling in the Palmetto Grid+ Plan in Texas makes managing your home's energy even more convenient!

You'll benefit from 100% renewable grid energy - plus, competitive import rates and buyback rates for any excess solar energy your system produces — with two options designed to fit your system size.

Why choose the Palmetto Grid+ energy plan?

In Texas' retail choice areas, homeowners have the power to select their electricity provider. The Palmetto Grid+ plan offers a straightforward and beneficial option for energy needs, eliminating the confusion of potentially costly plans with poor solar buyback rewards and multiple bills.

Here's why it's a great choice:

  • Convenient Management: Manage all your energy (solar + grid), billing, and customer support in one place: your Palmetto Account or Mobile App.

  • Valuable Solar Buyback: You'll receive credits for any excess solar energy your panels send back to the grid, with two plan options designed to match your system size. These credits roll over and never expire.

  • Immediate Savings: New customers enrolling in the Palmetto Energy Plan will automatically receive a 15% discount off their grid energy charges until their solar system is activated (PTO).

  • Sustainable Energy: Any electricity you use from the grid is sourced from 100% renewable sources within Texas.

  • Easy Enrollment: Sign up online in under 60 seconds, directly through your Palmetto account. No additional credit checks are required.

  • Seamless Transition: Your current electricity provider will be switched automatically, ensuring no interruption to your service. Simply pay your final bill from your previous provider when you receive it, we'll take care of the rest!

Important Note: When transitioning to the Grid+ energy plan, your current utility company may charge an early termination or cancellation fee, depending on your existing contract. We recommend reviewing your current utility agreement for details.

Key benefits

  • Solar Buyback Options: Earn credits for your excess solar energy exports with a plan tailored to your system. We offer two options: one with a higher buyback rate (ideal for larger systems that export more energy) and one with a lower base fee (ideal for smaller systems or those who use most of their energy at home). Both plans offer transparent, predictable pricing.

  • Transparent Pricing: No hidden fees. The pricing, as shown in your Electricity Facts Label (EFL) and Terms of Service (TOS), is clear, predictable, and transparent.

  • 100% Renewable Imports: Ensure that any electricity not provided by your solar system comes from renewable sources within Texas.

  • Automatic Switching: We handle the switch from your current provider, so you don't have to.

Availability

The Palmetto Grid+ is available in most deregulated Texas markets, which require all consumers to select a retail energy provider. It is not offered in areas where retail choice is unavailable such as certain municipal utilities or other states.
