Can I change my billing due date?

Changing your billing due date

If your payment due date doesn't line up with when money hits your account, you can request a change. Here's what to know before you do.

What you'll need first

A few things need to be in place before we can update your due date:

  1. Your account is current. All payments need to be up to date.

  2. Your first payment has posted. We can't make changes until your first payment has gone through. Until then, your original due date stays in place.

  3. Your system is installed and activated. If installation isn't complete yet, you won't be able to change your due date yet either.

  4. You may need to make an advance payment. If you want to move your due date earlier in the month, we may ask for a one-time payment to cover the overlap.

How to request a change

Due date changes can't be made through the app. You'll need to contact our billing team directly to submit your request. Once we've processed it, you'll get a confirmation email.

How long it takes

Most requests are processed within 5 to 10 business days. In some cases, it can take up to two months. While you're waiting, make your current month's payment by the original due date so your account stays current.

A note on autopay and payments

If you have autopay set up, it will keep running on your current schedule until your new due date is confirmed. And if you're moving your due date earlier, you might see two payments close together: the one-time advance payment and your first payment on the new date. That's normal.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pick any day of the month?

  • You can request a specific date, but the latest we can set is the 28th. That way things stay consistent no matter what month it is.

What happens to my current month's payment while the change is processing?

  • If the change takes effect before your original due date, that date no longer applies. You'll get a confirmation email once everything is updated.

Will this affect all future payments?

  • Yes. Once your due date is changed, it applies to every monthly payment going forward.
