Inverter

Standalone Enphase IQ8PLUS-72-2-US inverters are the default option for the following states: AZ, CO, CT, FL, IL, MI, MS, NV, NJ, NM, TX, and VA. Launch date 11/30/23.

GA, NC, SC also included as of 3/18/24.

A $0.05/w adder applies.

Requests to redesign with SolarEdge can be made through manual design notes.

Module Details

All modules, regardless of manufacturer, share a series of common aspects including aesthetic (all black).

Note: Conduit run, within the home attic space, whenever physically possible. Physical blockers such as in-congruent attic spaces or vaulted ceilings may prevent internal conduit. It is the responsibility of the sales rep to be aware of these scenarios and expectations set to homeowners, if applicable.

*For states that changed from Q.Peak Duo 408W to QCELLS Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G10+ 410 watt solar modules on 2/9/24: All newly created contacts will receive designs with QCELLS Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G10+ 410 watt solar modules. Re-designs for non-contracted projects may be requested with the QCELLS 410 watt solar modules. If the project has been under contract at least once, it should normally continue to use the initial solar module for all re-designs.

Jinko, Enphase Bundle Promotion: 12/22/23-3/18/24

From12/22/23 - 3/18/24 Palmetto ran a promotion for Enphase inverter and Jinko panel bundle in select markets.

The bundle included Enphase IQ8PLUS-72-2-US as the standard offering with the new Jinko, all black, low profile, 390w residential panel.

For a promotional period of time, dealers had NO premium inverter adder ($0.05/w value) when selling the Enphase/Jinko bundle*.

Applied to GA, NC, SC and launched on 12/22, ending on 3/18/24.

Answer

1) Are Enphase & SolarEdge Comparable?

Both Enphase and SolarEdge are top manufacturers of quality with significant market share. While there are some minor differences between Enphase Microinverter setups and SolarEdge Single Inverter setups, both will look and function in virtually the same way for all intents and purposes. Customer proposals are not impacted by having one vs the other.

2) When/where did Enphase become available?

Enphase is in select markets only. Applicable states are:
