Activate Your Palmetto Account

When you sign up for your Palmetto Energy Plan, you’ll receive an email with a link to activate your account. To get started, simply click the link in your activation email.

After accepting the invite, completing sign up for your Palmetto Energy Plan takes just a few steps. All the tasks you need to complete are available right from your project page. Here's what to expect so you can move through it quickly and with confidence.

Step 1: Upload your utility bill

  • You will need a photo, screenshot, or PDF of a utility bill from the last 60 days. Just open the task up and simply upload your document. The information on your bill is used to ensure the solar system is properly sized for your home.

Step 2: Credit check

  • You will need to complete the credit check form which includes your social security number. This is a soft check only with no impact to your credit score.

Step 3: Identity verification

  • Have your government-issued photo ID nearby before you start. You’ll upload your ID to have it automatically verified for accuracy. You may also be asked to take a quick selfie.

Step 4: Homeownership verification

  • We attempt to verify your home ownership automatically. In the event we’re not able to do so you may be asked to upload a document that proves you own your home. Acceptable documents include the original deed or deed of trust, your most recent property tax bill, or a mortgage statement that is less than 60 days old.

Step 5: Payment method

  • You'll set up the payment method for your energy plan. This is how your monthly plan payments will be processed. To complete payment setup you start by providing your bank account and routing number, both checking and savings accounts work. Then we run a quick automated check to ensure you are the owner of the account. On rare occasions when our automated check is unsuccessful we may ask you to upload an image of a voided check to prove ownership. To do this just upload a photo, screenshot, or PDF just like you did with your utility bill.

Step 6: Your contract

  • Review and sign your energy plan agreement. Take your time and read through it. If you have questions, our support team is here.

Step 7: Clear Facts disclosure

  • This is a summary of your plan and includes key details from your contract. Review the checklist before moving on. After completion we’ll email you a copy for your records.

Having trouble?

  • Double-check that your contact information is correct

  • Look for verification messages in your email or text inbox (including spam or junk folders)
